Hallway and Walnuts

Because it’s already almost August, my baby starts school in a few weeks, and we still have two more trips to take, here are shots of the hallway.  I would love to have it completely done, with art on the wall, but I already mentioned why that won’t happen for a while.  Here’s what we’re currently living with:

A million TRILLION times better than it used to be!  New walls, new doors, new trim.  (Wish I could say new floors, but that’s still a ways down on the to-do list).

I have a ton of trim and doors to paint and I still have to paint the ceiling (all these are the least of my favorite things, that’s why it’s been sitting like this for a few months).

AND, last Sunday we woke up to our huge walnut tree LEANING against our house.

Thanks to all the wind and rain, this rotted walnut finally came down.  (We had planned to take it down anyway).  It didn’t damage our house, only the steps leading to the upstairs apartment (which are also coming down soon-hallelujah!)
