It’s Coming Together

The exterior is almost complete!!  Josh has spent most of the summer and fall putting on the Novik panels around the foundation.  From a distance (and up close actually) the panels look like stone.  In reality, they’re vinyl and were super easy to install.  And we couldn’t be happier.  This was a tough decision (it’s so hard to pick things like this from a brochure).  There are a lot of stone and faux stone options, but ultimately it came down to time commitment.  The real stone would take FOREVER to lay and we just don’t have the time, or frankly the know-how.  These panels were much simpler and we love how they coordinate with our paint color.

You can see off to the left the foundation underneath.  There will be a deck here (hopefully) next year so we saved money and skipped covering that area.  Obviously we also still need new basement windows and trim. (And window wrap on the upstairs windows).  Slowly but surely.  Slowly but surely.

  1. It’s looking good, guys!!

  2. After reading about your home in the Register, I just had to go on line and check it out. What a change. I have passed this house many times and noticed it must have changed hands. What an improvement. Such ambitious people.
